I'm in Texas for two weeks, visiting the fantastic schools in Katy, not far from Houston. Last week, one student looked at me and said, "Are you Kate Klise?" I nodded agreeably. "Yes," I said. "I'm Kate Klise." I thought the young reader was going to say something sweet and adorable about how much he liked reading. Maybe even my books. Instead, he looked at me, confused, and said, "Kate Klise, I thought you were dead."
Well, what could I say? Nope. I'm not dead. But I *do* love cemeteries. I put them in many of my titles and books. Maybe that's the confusing part. Speaking of cemeteries, how pretty is this lovely lady? I found her in Glenwood Cemetery, near my home-away-from-home cottage in Houston, where I'm resting in peace this weekend. But I'm not dead. Not yet, anyway. I'll let you know when I am, okay?
