This is my home for the month of August. (Can you believe how pretty it is?) It's called Queset House and is located in North Easton, Massachusetts. It's owned by the Ames Free Public Library. All kinds of fun things go on inside Queset House. Teenagers were here yesterday, making cute pillows out of favorite T-shirts. Today there's a lecture by a woman who leads a nomadic life. Tomorrow we're having a 43 Old Cemetery Road party. People meet here for coffee, book discussions, and to work on their novels, which is how I plan to spend my days. Shouldn't every public library in America have a lovely old house like this for fun, not-so-quiet activities?
